Cabinetry in a run along the back of the chair has many benefits in the right room. It is very useful in narrow, long rooms where cabinetry even down one side would lead to a narrow walk way between cabinetry and chair.
This layout is also becoming more popular as the trend grows for storaging more in central storage areas, rather than in the surgery. This is because the design often, but not always, means less cabinetry than other designs. This has the added benefit of giving a less cluttered look and feel to the surgery with minimal cabinetry, kept as far from the patient’s view as possible.
This layout is also good for rear delivery systems.
